I am a husband and father and an Episcopal Priest. After a serious illness I had to “retire” much earlier than expected in 2009. Retirement, even “due to disability,” I’m learning, does not mean inactive. It does not mean disconnected or isolated. Retirement has opened new ways for me to share faith, hope, and love and continue a ministry of caring in a new way.

A chronicle of my illness was kept by my two sons. If you want to know more about where I’ve been before coming to this place I encourage you to check out 2blinks.org

I am grateful to be able to write to you and read your thoughts. Thank you for checking out this Blog.

  1. Dear Father Dan,
I have been unable to get an email or phone number for you and finally hope this will get to you.
First….Happy, happy brithday. Hope you had a great day!
Thank you so much for your kind words and memories of Don in the Desert Sun guestbook. Don thought so highly of you and treasured your friendship. Unfortunately he was unable to cope with your being ill but prayed for you and talked about you so much.
I am thrilled you have progressed so well and wish you all the very best in the future.
    Hopefully, someday we can chat.
Many thanks again for your thoughtfulness.
